The
Old House
The
Old House was once a beautiful home in the historic town of Eshowe.
Now somewhat rundown and more than a little neglected we are taking
on the challenge of restoring it to its former glory. Built by the
British army for one of its officers in around 1887, it is a simple 4
wall house with a verandah that surrounds the whole structure and a
sloping tin roof. All the existing doors and sash windows are still
present, blinking out at the litchi trees, the overgrown roses and
the remains of flowerbeds left by gardeners gone by.
The
Old House of the past was a family home, the Old House of the future
will be a conference and events venue in the heart of Zululand.
